Editing...

I have just gone through my third editing process with my third publishers. Every one of them has a different approach and style they use in the editing process, which I find fascinating. None of them have been daunting some are just more in-depth.

Editing is the backbone of the publishing world; it is your calling card to who you are as a writer, an author. Editing can make you shine or shred the fabric of your work.

In the end, the only concern I have is that my voice is clear, left unchanged to who I am as an author. Each one of us has a particular tone or pattern that is reflected within our crafting. As long as an editor does not change that, but enhances your work with their editing that is what matters to the some of the total called editing.

How writing changed my life...

In 2005, I left my husband, my home and started my life over again. My writing all started with me reviewing romance books. I have been doing that for over two years now. I have always had infinity to the written word as long as I can remember.

This kept me sane when my world would seem insane. I would lose myself within the pages of an author’s book, finding refuge and even inspiration sometimes. I read over 275 books my first year of reviewing. Working damn hard to establish myself as a fair, but honest reviewer. My goal, and I always set goals for everything I do, was to end up a reviewer for PNR Reviews, which I did. The only way to become one, is by being asked. I was honored when the email came, I can still remember it like it was yesterday.

What does all this have to do with being an author, you ask? Well, I am getting to that part right now. After two years of hard-hitting reviewing, I needed to expand my way of looking at an author’s book and writing style, and what better way than to try my hand at. I did, and what an eye-opening experience that was for me. It is not as easy as one would think it should be. I had trouble with my verb tenses and getting my POV straight, but I was determined to do it. Within the first month, I was contracted with Midnight Showcase. If you are a new author, they are always willing to give you a helping hand at getting published.

Then, I wrote my next story, which by the way was just released from Venus Presscalled Faeful: Sexual Magic. I still cannot believe that I actually wrote that book. It is a combination of Harry Potter meets J. R. R. Tolkien. I decided after that book that I would set up more goals and six months later I have met or exceeded every one of them.

Through all this writing, I have found myself again, loving the person that I am and still to become. If you have ever yearned to write, I say do it! It is hard work, but the rewards are many.

Happy writing,

She is deceived, taken from her world, bitten, and has the most erotic encounters she could have ever imagined.

She once dreamed of fairy tales, now she will live one. Only this fairy tale is shrouded in good vs. evil, spells, erotic conjuring and the convincing of love. What makes Lee special can also destroy her if not controlled and neutralized.

Philet, a Faeful fairy, is a member of Fairies United Creation Keepers and he is sent in to retrieve Lee. His attraction to this human woman is instantaneous and fierce. When she panics and her Unfaeful magic starts to rise, he will do what most be done to contain her evil magic. What he does will forever bond them as Fated-Mate. Writing it with heat

I cannot tell you how many times I get asked: Why do you write erotic romance? And I say, why not?

I am not ashamed to admit I love sex; everything about it turns me on. From the way a lover’s eyes change and dilate with desire, to the feel of their hands all over my body. Even the whispering of their breath across my skin feels luscious.

Now, why not write about that than anything else, I ask you?

Finished 2nd Book in The Tome of Unnatural Desires Series

The Tome Of Unnatural Desires is being published by Forbidden Publications. The first book will be out late 2006.

What a wild and productive week this has been. I finished the 2nd book in TTOUD, called Shadowed Passion. It is a M/M erotic romance. This is my first full on male and male erotic story and I found out I love writing them. So, I will being doing more in the very near future. Let's get real what isn't there to love about men, especially deliciously bad ones!

The next and final book (3) in the TTOUD is being written now and will be turned in sometime within the next week or so. (I will post info when I turn it into the publisher)

Here is the blurb from Shadowed Passion.
During one of his favorite pastimes of browsing yard sales, Klein Tilmar comes across an old leather book that grabs his attention, causing his insides to tighten and his fingertips to tingle in expectation of owning it.

What he doesn’t realize is that he has just bought himself a ticket straight to a dark region that is ruled and dominated by the likes of something sinister and hedonistically ferocious. Its appetite is for the warm flesh of men. It hungers only for what a man can give and receive.

This is not for the faint of heart and has a premised based on an alternative lifestyle, which some might consider offensive. You have been warned…now open the book!

I will have an excerpt for this story, but you have to be a member of my newsgroup to read it. You can join free! I run monthly contest! So, what are you waiting for?
